Dr. Stephanie Burrage serves as Minnesota's first Chief Equity Officer, appointed by Governor Tim Walz and Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan. With over three decades of experience in education, including roles as a deputy commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Education and senior advisor to the Governor's Office, Dr. Burrage brings a wealth of knowledge and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education from Western Michigan University, along with multiple master's degrees and a doctorate in educational policy and administration from the University of Minnesota.
