Tawanna Black is a nationally recognized thought leader driving change in communities. As the founder and CEO of the Center for Economic Inclusion and executive director of Northside Funders Group, she spearheads efforts for racial and economic equity in North Minneapolis. With a background in community economic development, Tawanna has led initiatives resulting in substantial reinvestment and model developments. She holds a Bachelor of Public Administration degree from Washburn University and has completed executive programs at Harvard Business School and Georgetown University. Recognized with prestigious awards like the Bush Fellowship, Tawanna is dedicated to advocating for inclusive growth and prosperity through her extensive involvement in nonprofit and philanthropic boards.
